Curtis J. Weaver, MD, FACC, FACP, FSCAI
Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases

Dr. Weaver was born in Haines City, Florida. He received his bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Florida in June 1979. He then completed medical school at the University of Florida in June of 1983. His post graduate education, including his internship, residency, and fellow in internal medicine and cardiology were completed at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. His service to the Florida Heart Group began on July 1, 1989. He currently serves as the Managing Partner of the Florida Heart Group.

Dr. Weaver is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, American College of Physicians, Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, International Society for Hypertension in Blacks (ISHIB), and the Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC). He has served as a cardiology consultant to the Orlando Solar Bears, the Orlando Miracles, the Orlando Magic and the Florida Citrus Sports Association. He has served as past president of the Metro Orlando chapter of the American Heart Association and he has served on the board of directors for ISHIB. He currently serves on the board of directors for ABC and on the claims committee for the MAG Mutual Malpractice Insurance Company.

Dr. Weaver is currently on staff at Florida Hospital South, Florida Hospital Altamonte and Florida Hospital Winter Park Memorial Hospital. In addition to numerous past committee responsibilities, he is now a member of the Cardiovascular Institute and is involved in many of its research projects involving coronary interventions and new drug trials.
