Chin Kim, MD FACC
Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology

Dr. Kim joined Florida Heart Group in April 2006. He is originally from Florence, South Carolina. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. He went on to receive his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He completed his internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology training at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. While at the University of Florida, he also completed a year of clinical cardiology research. He has published articles in several peer review journals, as well as authored a chapter in a cardiology textbook.

Dr. Kim is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is a member of the Cardiovascular Institute at Florida Hospital and is actively involved in several clinical research trials. His areas of special interests are complex coronary interventions, peripheral vascular interventions, preventive cardiology and heart disease in women.

He is currently on staff at Florida Hospital South, Altamonte and Winter Park Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Kim is married and has two children. His wife Brandy is an obstetrician in Celebration. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, snowboarding, surfing, and playing the guitar.
