Mark R. Milunski, MD, FACC, FACP
Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology

Dr. Milunski joined Florida Heart Group in 1993 from a private practice in Albany, New York. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Albany Medical College of Union University in 1984. While in medical school, he was elected Alpha Omega Honor Medical Society and received awards for academic performance. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Duke University Medical Center and his fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, finishing there in 1991.

While in cardiology training, he did basic and clinical research in ultrasonic tissue characterization of ischemic heart disease and has published many papers on the subject. He also served as the Associate Director of the Cardiac Transplantation Service.

He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular diseases, and Nuclear Cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, American College of Physicians, the Society of Coronary Angiography and Interventions, and a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He started the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic in 1995, which was one of the first clinics of its kind in the State of Florida outside of a university setting. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Florida Heart Institute.

His clinical interests are: General consultative cardiology, care of patients with acute and chronic heart failure, evaluation and treatment of patients with valvular heart disease, Transesophageal echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, and acute coronary care.
