Bio

Dr. Miner was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. He completed his undergraduate and graduate training at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana and graduated from Indiana University Medical School in 1973. He completed his Internship and Chief Residency at the University of Florida, Jacksonville and his cardiology fellowship at the University of Florida, Gainesville.

After completion of his fellowship, Dr. Miner served as an Assistant and Clinical Professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He was appointed Director of Clinical Cardiology and the Coronary Care Unit at the University Hospital of Jacksonville and the Chief of Cardiology at the Memorial Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition, he served in several capacities as an expert in medical malpractice defense.

Dr. Miner started his career in private practice and founded the Nielson Transplant Foundation in Jacksonville, Florida. In 1990, he joined the team of physicians at Florida Heart Group as a Clinical Cardiologist with special interests in hypertension, cholesterol, and coronary artery disease.

Dr. Miner has been married to his wife since 1973, and has 2 children. He enjoys spending time with his family and group bible study. In his spare time, his hobbies include golf and swimming.
