Dr. Monir specializes in Cardiovascular medicine and Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology. As a regional leader in catheter ablations, he uses the most advanced technology to treat arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia and other arrhythmias. Dr. Monir has received several awards and honors for his work and has written many abstracts and publications and presented in several scientific meetings. He is the recipient of the Illinois Society of Internal Medicine's Norris Brookens Award. He has a passion for research and participates in many national research activities to offer his patients the latest in science and technology for the best outcome. Dr. Monir brings a vast amount of expertise to Florida Heart Group, having been a member since 1999. He has served as the co-director of the Electrophysiology Lab at Florida Hospital since 2000. In addition, he is currently serving as Medical Director of the Arrhythmia and Ablation Center at Florida Hospital. Dr. Monir has offered Central Florida patients an unsurpassed level of experience and expertise in diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias, including complex procedures that are offered only at major medical centers in the United States. He is one of the few electrophysiologists in the country who have vast experience in ablation for atrial fibrillation since the year 2000. In addition, Dr. Monir serves as assistant professor of Medicine at the University of Central Florida, College of Medicine.
